Tricia Goyer is the author of thirty books including Songbird Under a German Moon, The Swiss Courier, and the mommy memoir, Blue Like Play Dough. She won Historical Novel of the Year in 2005 and 2006 from ACFW, and was honored with the Writer of the Year award from Mt. Hermon Writer's Conference in 2003. Tricia's book Life Interrupted was a finalist for the Gold Medallion in 2005. HELP! I'm a writer in an editor's brain. Let me out!
My problem is I read what I'm writing, as I'm writing it, and I can't seem to leave it alone to steep. It's a huge waste of time, because I'll just have to edit for for content after the composition draft is finished.
Yeah, it's hard to turn that internal editor off. I try to just put the words on the paper, and let them sit there for a while before I go back. It helps me increase my word count if I can just throw the words on the page first.
