It seems to me that since I've had children, I've grown richer and deeper. They may have slowed down my writing for a while, but when I did write, I had more of a self to speak from.

Tricia Goyer is the author of thirty books including Songbird Under a German Moon, The Swiss Courier, and the mommy memoir, Blue Like Play Dough. She won Historical Novel of the Year in 2005 and 2006 from ACFW, and was honored with the Writer of the Year award from Mt. Hermon Writer's Conference in 2003. Children certainly impact our lives, changing us for the better if we allow them to. If we have a conflict between spending time writing and spending time with our children, the kids should win much of the time. We can always write, but we won't always have impressionable kids at home, who spell love, t-i-m-e.
