“True ease in writing comes in art, not chance, as those move easiest who have learn’d to dance.”

Pope's quote is true, though I seldom think of writing as something done with ease. There are times when words just flow, but they aren't my words. They are gifts from God Most High, and they lift me to that higher plain where truth abides.

I think just like anything else, the more we practice, the easier it becomes. If I spent as much time learning to tango as I do write, I'd get pretty good. Yes, it would take a lot of discipline and work, but if I had a passion for it, I could learn to dance pretty good.
