To Become a Good Writer...

"Basically, if you want to become a good writer, you need to do three things. Read a lot, listen well and deeply, and write along. And don't think too much. Just enter the best of words and sounds and colored sensations and keep your pen moving across the page."

--Natalie Goldberg,Writing Down the Bones, p. 54

You know about "keeping your pen moving ..." I can't believe how quickly you finished the last chapters of Valley. Of Goldberg's three needful things, my main issue is thinking too much--second guessing myself so I never get the basic writing job done.
